Canberra to Penrith - From Canberra, you take the back way to Taralga, skirting around Goulburn. From Taralga, you head down to Wombeyan Caves, then continue out the other side up to Mittagong and finish up at Penrith.
​Difficult Sections:
  • Wombeyan Caves to Mittagong follows a road that is technically closed due to a lack of maintenance and rock falls.

Southern Churches - This ride leaves from the ACT and visits a few historic churches. It is primarily dirt for a lot of the route.
Day 1: Canberra, Brindabellas, Long Plain, Adaminaby, finishing at Berridale. 
Day 2: Dalgety. Boloco, Nimmitabel, Tinderry, finishing back at Canberra
Difficult Sections:
  • Some may find the powerline trail and Broken Cart Trail a bit of a challenge. But it can be ridden on large bikes if ridden sensibly.
  • Port Phillip Firetrail is closed for approximately half of the year. It is often open from the October long weekend to the June long weekend.
  • The Ironmungie [Ironmungy] crossing can be fast-flowing and deep. It can be circumvented by heading into Dalgety and following the Snowy River Way until you pick up the track again.

Tallaganda - This ride is best suited to small bikes, as some of the trails can become a little difficult to navigate around obstacles. The ride starts and finishes at Hoskinstown, and fuel and food can be purchased at Braidwood.
Difficult sections:
  • Lowden Forest Road to Cronin Summit. An alternate is to follow Main Range Road.
  • Captains Flat Road to Lowden Water Wheel. An alternate route is to backtrack Rocky Pic Trail to Harolds Cross Road, then on to Coxes Creek Road, then Lowden Forest Road to the Water Wheel.
